Dear Sir/Madam,
This letter is to inform you that i won't be able to start work on the 15th of November.
The reason that i can't start working is because my mother fell from the stairs and broke her leg yesterday. The doctor says that it will take 2 weeks for her leg to heal and walk again, therefore i have to take care of her during this period. I'm very sorry to cause you this trouble. As the only child in the family, i have no choice but to look after her. I apologize for not being able to turn up on that day.
I am able to work for home and will complete the project as mentioned. I will report to you through email, and if there's a problem, i will inform you along the way.
Once again, I apologize for the inconvenience and thank you for your understanding.
